War Vet Geza Riles Mnangagwa for Boot Out

War veteran Blessed Geza shared another video Wednesday, calling for people to rise up against President Emmerson Mnangagwa on March 31. Police want him for sedition charges. He filmed at a secret place wearing army clothes. He urged citizens across Zimbabwe, from Plumtree to Mutare and Zambezi to Limpopo, to fill the streets demanding Mnangagwa step down.

Zanu PF threw Geza out about two weeks ago. He says he speaks for many veterans from the 1970s independence fight who hate how Mnangagwa runs Zimbabwe. Nobody knows if people will join his protest, but the government has launched major security measures just in case. They canceled all police vacation time and set up more roadblocks everywhere in the country.

Mnangagwa talked to his party leaders on Wednesday in Harare. He bragged about having enough loyal citizens to crush any troublemakers trying to wreck the peace. He dismissed critics, saying they could keep barking as Zimbabwe moves ahead. This call for protests has created new fights inside Zanu PF. At the same time, Mnangagwa fans want to change laws to extend his final term by two extra years beyond 2028.

People close to Mnangagwa worry Geza might secretly work for Vice President Constantino Chiwenga, the retired general who kicked out Robert Mugabe through a military takeover in 2017 that put Mnangagwa in charge. Chiwenga has stayed quiet about Geza publicly. Nobody can tell how much control he still has over the military, which remains powerful in party politics.

Mnangagwa fired army commander Lieutenant General Anselem Sanyatwe on Tuesday. Experts say he did this to protect himself from possible coups since Sanyatwe supported Chiwenga. Geza has asked opposition leaders to join his protest plans, but many question if he really believes in democracy. During his latest video, the former party official named several people he called criminals connected to Mnangagwa.

His list included business guys Wicknell Chivayo, Kudakwashe Tagwirei, and Scott Sakupwanya, plus First Lady Auxilia Mnangagwa, who reportedly wants to become president herself. Geza told viewers to buy data so they could see what actions his group takes against these criminals. He pointed out that these few targets hurt all 16 million Zimbabweans, asking why citizens should suffer because of them.

He mentioned how sad things have become when some people say life under colonial rule seemed better than current conditions. He blamed these political criminals for causing such problems. Geza promised to confront Mnangagwa on March 31 but said his group would start dealing with the other criminals right away. He predicted these people would eventually beg Mnangagwa to leave office because of their suffering.

Geza apologized for war veterans' failure to serve citizens by backing Zanu PF leadership for years. He said that as veterans near the end of their lives, they cannot allow thieves to control Zimbabwe. He added that work has already started to remove these thieves and political criminals from power.
