You Won't Believe Wajir Tops Kenya Safety List

Wajir topped the safety lists among all Kenyan areas last year. A new report from number trackers shows that there were only 358 problem reports to the police there. Mandera comes second safest with 373 calls. Lamu follows with 401 crime reports throughout the year. Numbers tell how safe places feel for living.

Police reported fewer problems across Kenya, with a drop of almost four percent from last year. Officers found more guns that people kept against the rules this year. Drug seizures reached nearly 27000 kilograms during searches. Almost all types of crime went down except damage cases, which rose slightly.

Driving tickets fell the most, with almost sixty percent fewer cases than before. Person attacks, together with stealing, made up the majority of crimes. Murder cases went down by fifteen percent, with fewer people found guilty, too. The main court system saw more work, with over 500,000 new cases coming through doors. Workers still managed to lower waiting cases slightly compared to last year.
