ZRP has deployed officers nationwide before the CAB3 protests

Officers got positioned across every corner of the country well before a single protester turned up anywhere. Commissioner Paul Nyathi, speaking for the ZRP, put out word that citizens should carry on with regular routines unbothered, promising peace and security while deployments handle order nationwide.

Whatever's brewing traces back to social media chatter pushing a countrywide demonstration against Constitutional Amendment Act No. 3. Emmerson Mnangagwa assented once Parliament wrapped its part, and the legislation has since morphed into a political flashpoint.

Worth noting, though. That police statement never names the amendment even once, sticking to broad phrasing about maintaining order effectively rather than addressing what people are upset about.

Anyone dealing with threats, intimidation, or harassment got pointed toward the nearest station, the National Complaints Desk on (0242) 703631, or a WhatsApp line running on 0712 800 197.
