Nigeria's tourism authority plans to stage a cultural showcase aimed at boosting economic activity and highlighting the country's creative industries. Director General Olayiwola Awakan announced the Naija Flavour event during a ceremony in Abuja, describing it as a platform for small and medium enterprises to connect with customers while promoting local cuisine, fashion, music and theatrical performances.
The December gathering will feature a stage production titled Echoes of the Drums, written by Awakan and directed by Isioma Williams, that explores communal traditions, ancestral heritage and spiritual themes.
