Approximately 10,000 political party members switched allegiance to the African Democratic Congress during Saturday ceremonies in Agatu Local Government Area. The mass defection occurred on May 13, 2025, when Benue State ADC Chairman Terngu Tsegba formally launched party operations in the region. Former commissioners, local government chairmen, and grassroots supporters abandoned their previous political affiliations.
