Three new train services began operations from Sairang station, linking the state capital to Delhi, Guwahati, and Kolkata. Government spending on northeastern railways has grown five times since 2014, reaching 62,477 crore rupees total. Current projects worth 77,000 crore rupees represent the largest railway investment wave in regional history.
