SFF nerds, Colorful’s new ITX board sneaks in an async clock generator. The iGame B850I MINI OC V14 stuffs AMD B850 and Ryzen 7000/8000/9000 support into a 170x170mm square, and we spotted it at COMPUTEX. A wider launch should hit later this year.
Power comes from a VRM layout with 9+2+1 phases and 60A DrMOS stages, cooled by a heatsink that packs its own tiny fan. A 10-layer PCB keeps memory and PCIe signals tidy.
That external clock gen lets you overclock the CPU base clock independently from memory and PCIe. Push frequencies without throwing other components out of whack, which is pretty lit for SFF tinkering.
Memory support hits 8400 MT/s via EXPO/XMP, with two slots holding up to 128GB. You get dual PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots and two SATA ports, along with a GPU slot that’s full-length Gen 5 x16.
Networking gets a 5GbE Realtek port and MediaTek Wi-Fi 7 with Bluetooth 5.4. Rear I/O packs a 20Gbps USB Type-C, HDMI, DisplayPort, and audio via Realtek ALC897. No price yet, but Colorful expects partner retailers to stock it soon.
