Workers have started major construction at Chinhoyi Provincial Heroes Acre to honor brave freedom fighters from a famous 1966 battle. The site remembers seven heroes who fought Rhodesian forces on April 28, 1966. These brave men were Christopher Chatambudza, Simon Chingozha, Godwin Dube, Chubby Sawana, Arthur Maramba, David Guzuzu and Swazini Ndlovu. The memorial also celebrates other important people like the late music star Simon Chimbetu. Zim-China Wanjin Agriculture Development will finish the first part of work within three weeks.
