South African actress and comedian Meme Ditshego died Tuesday night at age 60. Her management company Eye Media Artists announced her death Wednesday. The entertainer became sick last week and complained about body pains. Doctors treated her at a local hospital before she passed away. She came from Letlhabile in Brits, North West province.
Ditshego built her career performing comedy and drama across multiple platforms. She appeared on SABC, e.tv, MultiChoice and Netflix productions during her long career. Audiences knew her best for roles in Ga Re Dumele and The Coconuts television series. She also played Evelina on the popular show 7de Laan recently.
