A court judge sent trader Constance Gyasi Nimako to jail after she took money that went to her bank account on accident. Someone wanted to move 800,000 cedis from their company account to their personal account but typed the wrong number. The money landed in Nimako's Ecobank account instead of where it should have gone. Nimako spent almost all the cash before anyone could stop her. She moved 300,000 cedis to her mother's bank account and put 400,000 cedis into another account she had.
The woman also took out 70,500 cedis in cash from the machine. Her mother Cecilia Gyasi helped move the money around different banks. Both women said they did nothing wrong when they went to court. Judge Susan Eduful decided Nimako must stay locked up...
