The Supreme Court made a big decision on Friday about terrorism lawsuits. All nine judges agreed that American victims can sue two Palestinian groups in US courts. The court said a 2019 federal law does not break any constitutional rules.
The law lets terror victims take the Palestine Liberation Organization and Palestinian Authority to court. A lower court had said this wasn't fair to these groups. But the Supreme Court disagrewhile the lower judges got it wrong.
Chief Justice John Roberts wrote the main decision. He said the government can make special court rules to help Americans hurt by terror attacks. The cases involve attacks from the early 2000s, not recent fighting between Israel and Hamas.

The Isle of Wight Festival started back in 1968 and became massive by 1970 when over 600,000 people showed up to watch Jimi Hendrix and other famous bands. After taking a break for many years, the festival came back in 2002 and keeps bringing top musicians to perform each summer. The 2025 event runs from Thursday June 19 through Sunday June 22 at Seaclose Park in Newport.
