The movie 28 Years Later finally came out after fans waited a long time for the third film in the zombie horror series. Danny Boyle and Alex Garland came back to make this movie after working on the first film in 2002. The story happens 28 years after the rage virus outbreak but changes what happened in the second movie. The virus stayed trapped inside Britain instead of spreading around the world.
A 12-year-old boy named Spike lives on Holy Island with his family. He goes hunting with his dad Jamie for the first time and learns about dangerous infected creatures called Alphas. These monsters grew bigger and stronger over the years. Spike also meets a doctor named Kelson who might help his sick mother Isla.
Spike takes his mother away from the island to find help from Doctor Kelson. His mother has cancer that spread to her brain and causes her terrible headaches. She helps deliver a baby from an infected woman during their trip. A huge Alpha monster comes looking for the baby but the doctor saves them with sleeping medicine.
Doctor Kelson tells Spike that his mother cannot live much longer because of her brain cancer. He helps her die peacefully to stop her pain. Spike brings the baby back to his father and leaves the island forever. The movie ends when a grown man named Jimmy saves Spike from infected creatures 28 days later.
