Bulawayo singer Magret Maganzo launched her second album The Genesis at Khulumani FM studios. The artist goes by the stage name Maggie Soul Bird and mixes reggae beats with soul and hip-hop sounds. She started writing poems and songs at age nine after her teacher encouraged her creative talents. Her brother introduced her to different music styles that shaped her artistic direction.
The album features tracks called The Valley, Conscious, Rock and Roll Lover, and Rainbow Love. Maggie writes about personal identity, relationships, and social awareness through her lyrics.
