Cop Gunned Down by Fellow Officer in Naguru
One police officer killed another officer Thursday at Naguru barracks. Arthur Muhangi walked into Evarest Natujuna's room and shot him three times. Bullets hit Natujuna's head and chest and he died right away. Officers think Muhangi acted out of jealousy or anger about personal matters. The shooting happened during the afternoon when Natujuna was taking a break. Muhangi left his gun at the crime scene after the attack. He ran away from the barracks and police have not caught him. Officers are searching for Muhangi across Kampala and nearby areas. The two men worked together at the same police station. Investigators believe the shooting was not random but happened because of personal problems between the officers.
Road Cameras Zapping Reckless Riders
Health officials support new traffic cameras that catch bad drivers automatically. The Electronic Express Penalty System uses cameras and special number plates to find people who break traffic rules. Drivers who speed or run red lights will face fines right away. The system catches the actual person driving instead of punishing car owners. Police can track vehicles that refuse to pay their penalties. Emmanuel Ainebyoona from the Health Ministry says the cameras will help doctors and nurses. Fewer car crashes mean medical workers can focus on other patients. Road accidents kill many people each year and the new system should change that. Motorcycles cause the most problems on Uganda roads. Better driving habits will save lives among...

Court Drama as Besigye Trio Face Treason Wrath
Nakawa court sent Kizza Besigye, Obeid Lutale and Denis Oola to High Court for treason trials. State attorney Richard Birivumbuka told the magistrate that police finished their investigation work. Chief magistrate Christine Nantege made the decision after Besigye's lawyers left the courtroom angry. The defense team wanted the case moved to High Court for bail review. Besigye had spent more than 180 days waiting for trial. Besigye called the proceedings unfair and walked out with his supporters. Magistrate Nantege continued reading the committal papers anyway. Prosecutors claim the three men planned to overthrow Uganda's government between 2023 and 2024. They held secret meetings across Geneva, Athens, Nairobi and Kampala. Court papers...
