Centenary Bank started fixing 20 hectares of damaged forest land at Masindi Central Forest Reserve today. The bank gave 60 million Ugandan money units to plant about 40,000 trees through 2025. They teamed up with the National Forestry Authority for this three-year project aimed at making the area green again. The forest holds many plants and animals, helps trap carbon, catches water, and keeps soil healthy.
Bank leader Fabian Kasi thanked forest officials for finding the right spot that matches their green goals.
