Ugandan military leader Muhoozi Kainerugaba treated Rwandan army chief Mubarakh Muganga to dinner at a lakeside hotel. Kainerugaba praised the military friendship between the two nations that grew under Presidents Museveni and Kagame. Muganga said he feels at home visiting Uganda. He came to teach UPDF officers at the military college in Jinja. The Rwandan general started his army life there many years ago.
Both military heads promised to keep working together for safety across East Africa. Muganga brought along Brigadier Ronald Rwivanga from Rwanda. Several top Ugandan security leaders, from the army, police, and prison services, joined them for the meal. The dinner marked better times between countries that once had problems.
