Construction started Tuesday on the first part of Yuzhny satellite city in St. Petersburg. The project begins with ten buildings ranging from five to ten stories tall. Officials say builders received permits for about 72,200 square meters of new housing. These homes should be ready early in 2027. The State Construction Supervision Authority approved the plans.
The first stage will include four separate phases. When finished, the development will create 240,000 square meters of housing across two blocks.
