Long-time news writer Herbert Mutugwi has passed away at 58. The sad news came yesterday from Ray Mungoshi, who runs the Zimbabwe Mass Media Trust. Herbert fell down suddenly at his work desk inside the New Ziana building in Harare, where he had been doing his job lately. Herbert started as a beginner reporter with the Chronicle newspaper back in 1987. He worked hard and moved up to Assistant News Editor by 1992. Later, he became the News Editor at Manica Post in 1997. Then, Herbert joined Community Newspapers Group as the main writer for the Nehanda Guardian paper in Bindura 2010.
