The Uganda National Examinations Board spoke up today about false stories about cheating in the 2024 national tests under the new teaching plan.
The board made clear these stories were not true. They asked people not to believe what they read on social media about the tests.
Some had said teachers were marking special parts of the tests in the wrong ways. These parts were called "Activities of Integration." The stories claimed teachers gave very high marks when they should not have.

Officials at Zimbabwe's tax office found three border workers who took money to help bring in old cars, which is against the law.
A new rule from January 2024 states that cars more than 10 years old cannot enter Zimbabwe. But three workers at the Victoria Falls Border helped people break this rule.
The workers - Phillip Kuvenga, 28, Rangariraishe Zingwe, 29, and Jean Felix Kadaro, 30 - changed papers to make old cars look legal. They lived in UTC houses and worked as tax officers.

Man Held After Attack on Woman Friend in Harare.
The police have taken a man from Borrowdale into care. He hurt a woman who was his friend.
Police say Masimba Chandavengerwa, 62, went to see the woman, 34, at her home in Msasa Park. He found her coming from her bath.
He pushed her into her room. He hurt her there. He said she used his money but would not be close to him.
The woman went to tell the police what happened. They came and took the man.
Police chief Luckmore Chakanza said they had the man. "He hurt his woman friend," Chakanza said.
The woman was at home with her children. Her house helper had left for the day.
