POTRAZ Condemns Cyberbullying, Warns of Prosecution.
The Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ) has spoken out against cyberbullying. It says it is a serious crime and that those who commit it could face legal consequences.
Cyberbullying involves sending or posting harmful, scary, or embarrassing messages online. This could be on social media, in private chats, or on other digital platforms.
POTRAZ wants victims or witnesses to report cyberbullying cases. The authority says it violates personal privacy. It is also against the law.
Under Section 4 of Zimbabwe's Criminal Law Act, cyberbullying is punishable. Convicted offenders may face a fine, up to 10 years in prison, or both.
