Parasakthi makers challenge censor cuts over anti-Hindi protest scenes
Rumors say the movie Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara, is having censor trouble. The film starring Sivakarthikeyan, with Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, and Sreeleela, might face cuts related to scenes about anti-Hindi protests. Its makers at Dawn Pictures are reportedly taking it to the CBFC's Revising Committee after being unhappy with the initial suggestions. They already moved the release date up to January tenth. The period piece is set in 1960s Madras, focusing on student rebellion at Pachaiyappa’s College. A teaser shows Sivakarthikeyan as a protest leader, with Ravi Mohan's character trying to kill him. The film has music by G V Prakash and cinematography by Ravi K Chandran.

This ends the series, with a finale hitting both theaters and the streaming service. The director had been retired on the Central Coast for about ten years after finishing work on Mob City.
