The police in Mombasa caught three men who they think are part of a gang called the "Mombasa Panga Boys." This gang has been scaring people in the Kiembeni and Kadzandani areas.
The gang uses weapons like knives and machetes. They rob businesses and attack people walking alone.
Detectives from the DCI headquarters in Nairobi and the Coast region worked together to find the gang members. They caught two of the men, who are 24 and 26 years old, at a place called Mwatamba 2 stage in Kiembeni. They found the third man, who is 34, in Kadzandani. He had a knife and two face masks.
The police also found four mobile phones, a small bag, a SIM card holder, and a wallet on the man. They are asking the men questions before they take them to court. The police will keep looking for more gang members.
People in Mombasa have been afraid of the "Panga Boys" gang for a long time. In April and November of 2024, the police caught two of the gang's leaders.
