Abia journalists push govt to show midterm scorecards

The Abia State NUJ wants to collaborate with the government. They ask all state offices to share their two-year performance reports with journalists. This helps people see what Governor Otti's staff has done since he took office. The union stressed that this matches their job of keeping leaders honest. They made this request through a seven-point statement after their monthly meeting.

Abia journalists also want better protection for farmers during the growing season. They believe farm work should happen without fear of attacks. The union suggests the government give out fertilizers to help grow more food. They praised Governor Otti for looking into pension problems that caused arguments among citizens. The NUJ supports plans to hire 4,000 new teachers because it creates jobs and improves schools.
