Followers of baul performer Abul Sarkar sustained injuries after a confrontation with Tawhidi Janata members during a demonstration calling for the musician's freedom in Manikganj district. The clash occurred near Shaheed Minar as supporters assembled ahead of court proceedings related to accusations that the artist insulted religious beliefs during a performance earlier this month.
Four individuals required medical attention following the violence, with three representing the singer's camp and one belonging to the opposing faction demanding capital punishment.
