ACF tells politicos to chill on early campaigns

Northern leaders slammed politicians for early 2027 election campaigns instead of fixing the country's problems. The Arewa Consultative Forum called these campaigns insensitive during widespread insecurity, economic hardship, and public anger. ACF Chairman Mamman Mike Osuman spoke at their executive meeting in Kaduna. He blasted recent violent attacks across Northern Nigeria as totally unacceptable.

The group expressed shock about terror attacks in Plateau State, killings of Northerners in Edo, and renewed Boko Haram violence in Borno. They noted that despite government promises about safety in the Northeast, insurgents keep returning to communities. These security problems have destroyed normal life - farms sit empty, schools remain closed, and small businesses struggle. ACF also expressed concern for recent flood victims in Maiduguri.

The chairman criticized politicians for focusing on the next election rather than current crises. He insisted that public welfare must come before political ambitions. ACF urged its members to speak truth to power like famous moral leaders throughout history. The group announced six new committees to strengthen their impact. Osuman demanded real action from these committees to improve governance, policy-making, and peace across Northern Nigeria.
