Acting Officials Panic as New DC Hits Mzimba

Some workers at the Mbelwa District office worry about new leader Rodgers Newa's arrival on May 19. People inside the office say staff filling temporary jobs fear he might want permanent workers. They think he could replace them with full-time employees when he starts. The fear spreads through the halls as people wonder about their future at the council.

School teacher Thomas Chirwa asks why these workers oppose the new district head. He thinks leaders should move these worried staff members to other places. He believes the large district needs real officers instead of temporary ones. The area needs strong people who can answer for their work and make services better for everyone. Newa takes charge as national leaders push local offices to work harder and serve people better.
