Physically disabled educator Amadou S. Jammeh informed attendees that guardians who deny enrollment to children with disabilities face penalties reaching five years in prison under the 2021 statute. Sign language instructor Ndey Secka called for expanded educational facilities beyond urban centers, noting that talented individuals produce marketable goods at specialized training centers despite limited resources in rural regions. Multiple speakers emphasized that citizens with disabilities possess identical capabilities and legal protections as all community members.
