Adani lights up 653 Mumbai pandals, warns fools

Adani Electricity Mumbai supplied 653 temporary power connections to Navratri and Durga Puja pandals during this year's festival season. The utility company streamlined its application process earlier this month and promised installation within 48 hours of submission. Officials noted an increase from 647 connections provided during last year's celebrations.

The power distributor deployed a Quick Response Team to handle potential disruptions throughout the festivities. Safety guidelines required pandals to hire licensed electrical contractors and install Residual Current Circuit Breakers for protection against electrical hazards. The company prohibited unauthorized extensions and warned against exceeding approved power loads.

Adani Electricity installed 950 temporary connections and 2,571 floodlights at 167 immersion sites across 15 municipal wards during the Ganpati festival. The utility mandated fire extinguishers near meter cabins, and proper grounding at all connection points. Workers received instructions to use standard wiring materials and restrict meter cabin access to authorized personnel.
