Addison's suspension leaves Vikings teammate Jefferson stranded

Minnesota Vikings receiver Jordan Addison resolved his legal troubles through a plea agreement that avoided more serious charges. The third-year player accepted responsibility for a reduced offense after his July 2024 arrest. His attorney confirmed the settlement requires financial penalties and supervised release. Agent Tim Younger stated that Addison demonstrated accountability by attending educational programs with Mothers Against Drunk Driving. The receiver kept team officials informed throughout the legal proceedings.

League officials will determine disciplinary action despite the reduced charges. Reports suggest a three-game suspension awaits Addison when the season begins. His absence would create challenges for Minnesota's offensive strategy early in the campaign. The receiver contributed 63 catches for 875 yards and nine scores during the previous season. Teammate Justin Jefferson and the Vikings offense will face increased defensive attention without Addison's presence on the field.
