Qhala has partnered with Apolitical to launch Q-Academy, a training program that will equip African government workers with artificial intelligence and digital skills. The two organizations signed a formal agreement on Monday, Sept. 29, 2025, in Nairobi to establish the partnership. Apolitical will grant 500 African policymakers access to its Government AI Campus, which serves more than 270,000 public officers worldwide.
The academy will deliver AI literacy courses adapted for African contexts through sessions that have already been tested in Kenya, Cameroon, and at the African Health Agenda International Conference in Kigali. Policymakers from Kenya, Cameroon, Rwanda, South Africa, Nigeria, and Senegal will fill the first 500 positions. The program arrives as the African Union develops a continental AI strategy, and about 20 nations have launched national AI plans.
