Nigerian music executive Tobi Mohammed survived gunfire during a 2017 attack in Bauchi State alongside fellow artist Rayce. Armed assailants wearing military uniforms fired ten rounds at their vehicle during the incident. The bullets struck multiple parts of the car, including the steering wheel, air conditioning system, and trunk area. Neither musician suffered physical harm despite the extensive damage to their automobile.
Mohammed discussed the traumatic experience during an appearance on the Adesope Live program. The singer revealed he had never shared details of the attack with his mother. He expressed concern that she would respond with increased prayers if she learned about the dangerous encounter. Mohammed credits divine intervention for their survival and says the experience has significantly strengthened his religious faith.
