YouTube creator Wylsacom obtained an unreleased 13-inch M5 iPad Pro with 256 gigabytes of storage before Apple announced the device. The tablet maintains an identical exterior design to the M4 iPad Pro model, suggesting the company focused solely on internal processor upgrades. Benchmark tests revealed the M5 chip delivers moderate performance gains across applications, with the most substantial improvement appearing in graphics processing.
The M5 iPad Pro scored 4,133 points in Geekbench 6 single-core tests compared to the M4's 3,748 points. Multi-core performance increased from 13,324 to 15,437 points between generations. Metal graphics testing showed a 33.87 percent improvement, with the M5 achieving 74,568 points against the M4's 55,702 points. The AnTuTu benchmark registered the smallest advancement at 8.29 percent, rising from 2,897,765 to 3,137,936 points.
