Army corners terrorists in Kishtwar, seizes arms in Poonch

Security forces engaged terrorists during intelligence-driven operations across Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. The White Knight Corps reported contact with militants near Kishtwar at 8 PM on September 19, leading to active firefights. Military personnel continue pursuing the targets while maintaining operational security. Joint teams recovered significant weapons caches during separate raids in Poonch district. Forces seized one AK-series rifle, four magazines, and twenty hand grenades from terrorist hideouts.

Intelligence agencies pursue comprehensive strategies against militant networks and their supporters throughout the region. Security teams target drug trafficking operations that generate funding for terrorist activities. Authorities trace smuggling routes back to positions beyond the Line of Control and International Border. The 740-kilometer LoC and 240-kilometer International Border present ongoing security challenges for regional stability. Army units patrol the disputed boundary while Border Security Force personnel monitor international frontiers.
