Assetto Corsa EVO Gets a Revamp for a Fun Ride

The racing game Assetto Corsa EVO has seen strong success since launching on Steam Early Access this January. Developer KUNOS Simulazioni released a new video today outlining upcoming changes based on player feedback.

The game will soon add an Open Mode, letting players race completely offline. Career mode combines progression systems with the Driving Academy and also works without the internet. Special Events will require online connectivity but remain available in both game modes. The team plans performance upgrades for all setups, including VR and triple screens, to create smoother gameplay experiences.

AI drivers will feature distinct personalities that change with difficulty settings, creating better progression as players face tougher opponents. New interface options will give racers more control over single-race settings through improved grid customization. Multiplayer testing shows promising results, with public access coming in Summer 2025 featuring rebuilt network code.

Modding tools arrive earlier than planned during Early Access instead of after full release. This allows creators to test their ideas as developers refine these features. Co-founder Stefano Casillo returns as Chief Technology Officer, bringing his expertise to help shape the future direction of Assetto Corsa EVO.
