ASUS Arc Pro B70 costs €1,799 in Germany and Austria

ASUS UGen Arc Pro B70 has hit stores in Germany and Austria at €1,799, giving Intel's 32GB Battlemage workstation GPU a steep price tag. Swiss buyers are also seeing a CHF 1,799 listing, which puts this pro card well above Intel's original US entry price.

Here's the part that may raise some eyebrows. Intel asked for $949 at launch for its version, while ASUS is charging far more in Europe. But that's not quite a fair price match. The US figure left out sales tax, and ASUS uses a different board with more power on tap.

Under the hood, buyers get 32 Xe2 cores, 256 XMX engines, and 32GB of ECC GDDR6. That memory setup is a big deal for tasks that need lots of VRAM, such as local AI models, large data jobs, and pro design work.

Then there's the cooling setup. ASUS went with a dual-slot blower that vents hot air out of the back of the case. It's a handy design for workstations with several GPUs, though each card can draw up to 310W. Intel's base model, for context, has a 230W limit.

And ASUS is keen on multi-GPU rigs. A system can hold as many as four of these cards, which adds up to 128GB of VRAM across the setup. That's a fair bit of memory, but the bill is no joke. Four cards alone would cost €7,196 before the CPU, board, RAM, and other parts.

Of course, having 128GB spread across four GPUs is not the same as one GPU with that much memory. Apps need the right support to share work and data across cards. Without it, all that hardware may not help as much as the raw total hints.

Another key point is that this isn't a fresh chip reveal. ASUS had already shown the B70, and the real update is the price and stock in two European markets. It gives buyers a better idea of what a custom Intel pro GPU may cost at retail.

Still, a large memory pool doesn't tell the whole tale. ECC can help catch and fix some data errors, but speed, driver quality, and app support matter just as much. The blower may help with dense rigs, yet heat and power needs can add up fast.

For workstation buyers, this is a case of checking the workload before spending the cash. ASUS has a clear pitch for local AI and pro use, but tests in real apps will show how well it stacks up. The €1,799 tag applies to this specific model and region, not every Arc Pro B70 card.
