ASUS Dishes Up Cheaper 9070 GRE OC for China

ASUS plans to release its ATS RX 9070 GRE O12G graphics card soon for Chinese customers. This marks the first launch of an RDNA 4 GPU made just for China, following AMD's tradition of creating special Golden Rabbit Edition cards for this market. The card uses a smaller version of the NAVI 48 chip with 3072 Stream Processors paired with 12GB of GDDR6 memory.

The card needs two 8-pin power connectors and works best with a 750W power supply. It comes factory overclocked with boost speeds up to 2880 MHz in OC mode. The RX 9070 GRE sits between the RX 9060 XT and regular RX 9070 in performance, offering more memory than the 8GB found on the 9060 XT.

Chinese shoppers can pre-order the card for 4,476 RMB before its May 8 release date. After tax adjustments, this equals about $450 US dollars. The price runs about $100 less than the standard RX 9070 model. Most GRE cards stay inside China, though the RX 7900 GRE did reach international markets.
