ASUS ROG DOOM RTX 5080 Has PC Fanatics Losing It

ASUS ROG partnered with Bethesda and id Software to create a special GeForce RTX 5080 for DOOM: The Dark Ages fans. This card celebrates ASUS's 30th birthday with green-gold colors inspired by the DOOM Slayer. It sports Slayer artwork on the back, fan covers shaped like the Shield Saw, and gold-plated mounting brackets. PC builders who want something unique will love this collector's item.

Under its flashy shell sits NVIDIA's Ada Lovelace GA103 chip, which has 16 GB of GDDR7 memory running at 25 Gb/s. The card uses a 20+6 phase power system with 90 A Smart Power Stages for stable operation during heavy gaming. A vapor chamber, phase-change pad, and aluminum fins help cool the card. Four Axial-tech fans keep temperatures low during 4K ray-traced gaming sessions.

Players can enjoy hardware ray tracing through idTech 8, showing realistic shadows and reflections. NVIDIA DLSS 4 creates extra frames using AI for smoother gameplay without lowering settings. Tests show the card runs DOOM at 95 FPS in 4K Ultra with ray tracing. Adding DLSS 4 Upping boosts performance to about 130 FPS.
