Outer Worlds 2 Lets You Parkour Slide and Crush Foes

The Outer Worlds 2 aims to shake up combat with fresh movement options. Players can parkour through battlefields, grab ledges, slide into cover, and enhance these abilities through character builds. Obsidian designed enemies to challenge players with surprising tactics rather than simple level scaling. The game uses a tiered enemy system instead - tougher foes appear in starting areas, but returning later with higher levels lets players easily defeat them.

Developers focused on making all combat approaches viable without forcing players into specific playstyles. The game remains primarily focused on ranged combat with melee as a secondary option. The team studied shooters like Destiny 2 and Call of Duty to improve gunplay, ensuring weapons feel satisfying regardless of character build.

The game will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC later this year. More details will be available on June 8 after the Xbox summer showcase. Fans hope to learn the exact release date during this event.
