Under the student visa framework, a higher Evidence Level triggers stricter proof requirements. Applicants from these nations must now provide extensive documentation on finances and past academics. Processing officers will scrutinize materials more closely and may manually verify details with banks or schools.

The change means visa officials will depend more heavily on the word of the education provider sponsoring the student.
