Baatighar rebels in Barishal, led by Asha Moni, electrify Manta youth

Baatighar operates as a student volunteer organization serving marginalized communities near the Barishal University campus. Political Science students established this educational initiative under founder Asha Moni's leadership alongside co-organizers Ummay Seratunnesa, Hisratun Haque Neha, and Mithila Farzana Keya. The group targets the Manta community's educational needs through direct outreach programs. Forty children from Amin Colony in Kornokathi village receive literacy instruction through this volunteer effort. Many participants had never experienced formal schooling before joining these classes.

Creative teaching methods replace traditional textbook approaches within Baatighar's curriculum framework. Students engage with music, poetry, and theatrical performances while developing academic skills. The organization addresses child welfare concerns through family counseling and guardian education programs. University faculty members provide guidance and financial assistance for educational materials and operational support. Future expansion plans aim to broaden community impact beyond current geographic boundaries.
