Bangladesh aims to bounce back in must-win second ODI against Sri Lanka

Bangladesh faces a must-win cricket match against Sri Lanka on Saturday after getting crushed in their first game. The Tigers collapsed badly when Sri Lankan spinners attacked their batting lineup. Team bosses want to fix the problem of having all right-handed batters in the middle order. They might bring in left-handed player Shamim Hossain to shake things up. Head coach Phil Simmons flew to London for medical treatment and will miss this crucial game.

Tanzid Hasan scored the most runs for Bangladesh with 62 but admits he failed his team. The opener says one good catch and a run-out changed everything in the first match. He believes 30 or 40 more runs would have made the game much easier for Bangladesh. The team still has hope since this is a three-match series. Tanzid wants to bounce back strong and keep Bangladesh alive in the contest.

Sri Lanka dominated the first game and wants to wrap up the series early. Coach Sanath Jayasuriya tells his players to stay focused and not get overconfident. The home team might add another spinner to their attack since the pitch will help spin bowlers more. Fast bowler Lahiru Kumara missed the first game due to injury and remains doubtful. A viral fever has spread through the Sri Lankan camp, making team selection tricky.

The weather in Colombo stays hot and humid, testing player fitness levels. Both teams must handle the spinning conditions better than before. Bangladesh desperately needs this win to survive in the series.
