The station expanded beyond Kurdish and Arabic programming in 1968. Assyrian language broadcasts joined the lineup through advocacy by Franso Hariri and other community leaders. This multicultural approach reflected broader values of inclusion within the Kurdish movement. The radio served Assyrian audiences across Iraq, Iran and neighboring regions.
The historic cave site undergoes renovation by the Generation of Eylul Revolution organization. Workers build roads, install electricity and plant trees for visitor access. Barzani called on current journalists to maintain the station's founding principles of honest reporting and democratic values.
