Bedmate suspect got da ward shook in Kinyua murder

Gilbert Kinyua was sadly killed at Kenyatta National Hospital. Members of Parliament want the police to look closely at the person who used to share a bed with him. They think this person might know something important.

The MPs visited the hospital to find out more. They learned that Kinyua's former bedmate had been sick with diabetes and convulsions. Even though the hospital treated him, he stayed there after getting better.

William Sigilai, who works for the hospital, told the MPs that this patient had left the hospital when Kinyua died. The patient didn't have a home, so the hospital found him a place to stay through a special program.

One of the MPs, James Nyikal, was very interested in this patient. He said that sometimes convulsions can make people act in strange ways without remembering what they did later.

It turned out that the patient was brought back to the hospital because the place he went to live didn't want him anymore. They said he was causing problems there.

Sigilai mentioned that the police are still working on the case. The MPs think it's important to find the person who killed Kinyua quickly. They want to make sure something like this doesn't happen again.

After looking around the hospital and talking to the people in charge, the head of the MPs' group, Robert Pukose, said they were mostly happy with what the hospital told them. But he also said the hospital needs to make some changes to keep everyone inside safer.

Kinyua was killed terribly inside the hospital on February 7, 2025. Someone who hasn't been caught yet hurt him very badly.
