Buganda urges voters to pick capable leaders

Buganda's premier just told independent candidates to actually do their jobs for once. Charles Peter Mayiga gathered hopefuls at Bulange Mengo to demand competence from future officials. He insists that voters pick people who honor the Kabaka while fighting oppression. This meeting involved individuals chasing parliamentary seats and mayoral gigs.

Mayiga argued that local growth lags behind neighbors because bad leadership holds everything back. He wants brave representatives capable of pushing dialogue over noise. Communities need serious actors who can articulate specific regional problems at higher decision levels instead of just filling seats.

Latif Ssebagala Ssengendo and Francis Katabaazi promised they would focus on constructive governance. Phina Mugerwa joined them in stressing unity over division for the kingdom. These aspirants claim the main goal involves strengthening Buganda rather than tearing it apart with petty squabbles.

The Kingdom asked everyone to vote peacefully without causing scenes or breaking laws. Mayiga reiterated that real stability requires putting public interest first. He believes legitimate progress happens only when leaders prioritize community needs above personal gain during this election cycle.
