Bulawayo's new fancy homes worry resident boss Dube

Bulawayo experiences significant residential development as citizens construct contemporary homes across diverse neighborhoods. The transformation extends beyond affluent areas to encompass all residential zones. Modern architectural styles replace traditional designs while incorporating environmental sustainability through solar energy systems.

The Nkulumane suburb exemplifies this evolution with spacious layouts and enhanced infrastructure. Gated communities emerge throughout the city, providing security and modern amenities. Property developers note that international exposure influences local construction preferences.

City communications manager Nesisa Mpofu praised the aesthetic improvements and environmental benefits. Developer Cris Mtungwazi attributed the trend to architectural awareness and global travel experiences. The modernization increases property values across affected areas.

However, residents' association chairperson Winos Dube emphasized the need for affordable housing alternatives. He emphasized that development should cater to all economic segments of society. The city continues to expand through new suburbs like Mahatshula East, while upgrading existing areas such as Pumula South and Highmount.
