Police found lots of bullets hidden under bags on a bus early morning. Officers stopped the Hyundai vehicle traveling from Accra to Benin around 3:30 AM. They discovered 60 boxes of AAA bullets containing 15,000 rounds. The search also revealed 72 boxes of BB bullets with 18,000 rounds.
The driver, Mr Fousseni, 45, denied knowing about these items. His helper, Mr Jalilu, 38, also claimed he knew nothing. Police reports show the helper actually loaded these illegal items onto the bus. Police let the main driver continue the trip with passengers. They kept their helper for more questions.
