Bvuma eyes decade at Chiefs as he preps for new deal

Loyalty is rare in football, but this keeper is matching a club legend. Bruce Bvuma is set to renew his deal with Kaizer Chiefs, putting him on track to complete a ten-year run with the first team. That achievement would place him alongside only Itumeleng Khune among goalkeepers in the PSL era at the Soweto club.

His journey required serious patience. Bvuma has made under eighty appearances since his debut, often serving as a backup. Brandon Petersen currently holds the starting job, keeping Bvuma in a bench role for the foreseeable future. The new contract shows the club values his experience and professionalism as a squad member.

The extension likely includes an option for an additional year. While he does not see the field frequently, his commitment is set to cement a legacy defined by longevity. Bvuma will join an extremely rare company in the annals of Kaizer Chiefs, mirroring the dedicated career path of Itumeleng Khune.
