Cha Eun Woo released a handwritten letter and video message from military service to mark Armed Forces Day on October 1. The actor thanked his castmates from First Ride, the comedy film that premiered on September 29, about five friends taking their first overseas trip together. Cha encouraged viewers to reconnect with school memories through the movie while expressing disappointment about missing promotional activities.
The star began his military duty in July and represented his training unit during the completion ceremony at Nonsan Army Training Center on July 2. He worked alongside Kang Ha Neul, Kim Young Kwang, Kang Young Seok, and Han Sunhwa in the film directed by Nam Dae Joong. Military officials will discharge Cha on January 27, 2027.
