Charcoal Producer Bitten Dies in Kalkfeld Tragedy

A 32-year-old charcoal worker died after a snake reportedly bit him at the farm Georg-Ferdinandshöhe near Kalkfeld. The police learned about the incident a day late, according to Otjozondjupa regional police inspector Maureen Mbeha. Family members identified the man as Abraham Kashihulu.

Officials have not determined what kind of snake attacked the victim. Medical staff first treated him at Kalkfeld clinic before sending him to Otjiwarongo State Hospital, where he passed away upon arrival. Doctors plan to perform an autopsy today to find the exact reason for his death. Police opened an investigation file at the Kalkfeld station about this case. The investigation remains active.
