China donates dengue kits to Bangladesh for monsoon surge

China stepped up to help Bangladesh fight deadly dengue fever. The Chinese government decided to give special materials that stop the dangerous mosquito disease from spreading. Health officials from both countries will meet Thursday morning to complete the donation. The ceremony takes place at Bangladesh's main health department office. Three important leaders will attend the event to make the handover official.

Professor Dr Md Sayedur Rahman represents Bangladesh's health ministry as a special assistant. Dr Liu Yuyin works at the Chinese Embassy and handles important business between the two nations. Professor Dr Md Abu Jafor runs the health services department for the entire country. These three officials will work together to make sure the anti-dengue supplies reach the right people. The materials should help doctors and health workers protect more families from getting sick.

Bangladesh faces a serious dengue crisis that keeps getting worse each month. June brought terrible news with 19 people dying from the mosquito bites that spread the fever. Health records show 5,951 people caught dengue during that same month across the country. May had far fewer problems with only 1,773 people getting infected and 3 deaths reported. The rainy season makes conditions perfect for mosquitoes to breed and attack more victims.
